* अलाप *
* voice tune *
let some clouds come, and some wine may served
let some clouds come, and some wine may served
i wouldn’t care if every calamity, rained down upon me! (x2)
i was re-calling all, that has tormented in this world (x2)
today I missed you, immeasurably
let some clouds come, and some wine may served
let some clouds come, and some wine may served
after this, let come whatever punishment may come…
in such a way, did my silence resonated (x2)
as seeking answers from every direction.
let some clouds come, and some wine may served
after this, let come whatever punishment may come
let some clouds come…
from the roof-like edge of the wineglass, may the moonshine descend
wineglass…
from the roof-like edge of the wineglass, may the moonshine descend
held in the hand of the cupbearer, may the sun come
let some clouds come, and some wine may served (x2)
after this, let come whatever punishment may come
let some clouds come…

Faiz Ahmad Faiz (13 February 1911 – 20 November 1984)
Let some cloudy weather come) is a poem written by famous Urdu poet Faiz Ahmad Faiz. It was written during Faiz’s life of isolation and separation, while he was lodged in Hyderabad Central Jail during the Rawalpindi conspiracy case. He was away from his wife and two daughters. After being separated from his family, Faiz spent months without seeing them. A few steps ahead of time, Faiz found himself misunderstood in the society in which he lived. Aaye Kuch Abr took this step in Faiz’s life but he stands with hope.
